Crash the Chatterbox: Hearing God’s Voice Above All Others by Steven Furtick

Crash the Chatterbox was given to me to read during my time as an intern at Cornerstone Community Church last year. Pastor Steven Furtick is the lead pastor at Elevation Church in North Carolina. When I first started to read this book I was little unsure about reading a book from someone who is going to talk about all the voices he hears. You may be thinking the same thing, that he’s crazy. Interestingly enough as I continued to read, I found out that what he was saying is true for me. If your like me then you struggle to hear God’s voice above your own thoughts of insecurity, fear, condemnation, and discouragement sometimes. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting help on focusing there energy on hearing God’s voice only above there own Chatterbox. We all have voices in our head that tell us we can’t, but God gives us His promises that we can hold on to in every situation of life. Pastor Steven is transparent in revealing much of his own negative thoughts that try to bring him down and how he has learned from God to daily Crash the Chatterbox.
