We Cannot Be Silent: Speaking Truth to a Culture Redefining Sex, Marriage, and the Very Meaning of Right and Wrong by R. Albert Mohler, Jr.

We Cannot Be Silent was written by Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr. who serves as president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary – the flagship school of the Southern Baptist Convention and one of the largest seminaries in the world.

We Cannot Be Silent is a book that specifically addresses Sex and how it has been redefined in our Nation. Dr.Mohler takes his readers through various stages of the sexual revolution and where it all started and how it has emerged over the past. In We Cannot Be Silent, Mohler speaks to many forms of sex and marriage and how it has been changed to mean something that God never intended it to mean within our culture and how from a Christian worldview, we as followers of Christ are to respond. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book but I especially enjoyed Chapter 10 where Dr. Mohler addresses many questions that are common in regards to the church dealing with sex, marriage, homosexuality, and gender from a Christian worldview. If you are someone who is interested in reading a perspective on sex and marriage and how it has been redefined in America and how as the church can and should respond, then I highly recommend you get a copy of this book, you will not be disappointed.

As I have followed Dr. Mohler’s work for sometime now, I continue to enjoy and respect much of the work that he has done and continues to do for the Christian community. Everyday you can catch a brief news podcast from Albert Mohler on The Briefing, http://www.albertmohler.com/the-briefing/. I have found this to be very informative as he shares various articles from the day and looks at them from a Christian worldview.
